The Board of Directors of the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association has announced that Grant Richter has accepted the position of Executive Director of the WMBA effective August 1, 2024
Many in the basketball community will know Grant, who has not only served on the WMBA's board and Executive Committee but has also coached for many years in the league. Grant has extensive basketball experience at senior levels through his involvement with the University of Winnipeg and Manitoba and his coaching at the professional level with the Winnipeg Cyclone.

He has been a tremendous advocate of girls' basketball in Winnipeg and has proposed initiatives to expand the WMBA's presence in this area. The league looks forward to many exciting initiatives in the next year that will enhance the programs offered to athletes registered in our leagues.
