The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association has announced details on its offering of a winter 2025 opportunity with the Jr NBA. The Jr. NBA Youth Basketball Skills Program offers tailored opportunities for children to develop basketball skills in a supportive and age-appropriate setting. Designed for players aged 5-6 and 7-12, the program provides foundational skill-building for younger participants and more advanced development for older youth. Sessions are led by experienced coaches and student-athletes, ensuring high-quality instruction in a fun and engaging environment. Each program runs for 10 weeks, with one weekly session, and includes a jersey and basketball for participants.
Registration for the winter season is open from December 9th to January 15, 2025, with spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. The anticipated program start date is mid-January. The cost for the program is $160 for ages 5-6 and $200 for ages 7-12. Parents of younger participants are encouraged to volunteer as coaches, with curriculum support provided. Older participants will benefit from sessions led by university-level facilitators or student-athletes. Give your child an opportunity to build skills and confidence on the court this winter!
