Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce details on the 2025 Manitoba Provincial Team Identification Camp for the upcoming summer. Please note that the Identification Camps will occur during defined school in-service days in the area on:

Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Neelin High School (1020 Brandon Ave, Brandon, MB) 
  • Session 1 - ( 9:30am to 11:00am) - 14U & 15U Girls
  • Session 2 - (11:00am to 1:30pm) - 17U Girls
  • Session 3 - (1:30pm to 3:00pm) - 14U & 15U Boys
  • Session 4 - (3:00pm to 4:30pm) - 17U Boys
Monday, April 21, 2025 at Winkler at Pine Ridge Elementary (1655 Roblin Blvd, Winkler, MB)
  • Session 1 - ( 9:30am to 11:00am) - 14U & 15U Girls
  • Session 2 - (11:00am to 1:30pm) - 17U Girls
  • Session 3 - (1:30pm to 3:00pm) - 14U & 15U Boys
  • Session 4 - (3:00pm to 4:30pm) - 17U Boys

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Identification Camps are not the formal tryouts for the Manitoba Provincial Team program but an identification camp opportunity for athletes living anywhere in Manitoba.  The ID Camps are being offered to provide athletes additional consideration from the Provincial Team Coaches and Basketball Manitoba Staff who will be present for the day.  The formal Manitoba Provincial Team Tryouts will occur on May 23-25, 2025, at the Sport Manitoba Courts in Winnipeg.  The May Tryouts are still open to any Manitoba resident who meets the defined ages regardless of attending an Open ID Camp.  Details on the Manitoba Provincial Team coaching staff announced earlier this year can be found HERE.

The 2025 Manitoba Provincial Team Program will be forming a total of 6 teams. The ages for the teams will be 17U (born in 2008 or later), 15U (born in 2010 or later) and 14U (born in 2011 or later) at both the male and female levels. 

All programs will wrap up the summer at their respective National Championships, including...

Program: 17U Male and Female Team Manitoba
Event: 2025 Canada Summer Games
Location: St. John's, Newfoundland
Dates: August 10-16, 2025 (travel days Aug 8/9 & Aug 17)

Program: 15U Male and Female Team Manitoba
Event: 2025 Canada Basketball National Championships 
Location: Durham College, Oshawa, Ontario (GTA)
Dates: August 4-9, 2025 (travel days Aug 3 & Aug 10)

New for 2025, a 14U Male and Female Developmental Provincial Team will be offered with similar timelines to the 15U and 17U.

The Manitoba Provincial Team Program is the premier player and coach development program in the province.  The program attracts the top players and coaches to represent Manitoba at national and international events.  
    Registration
    • REGISTRATION: Online preregistration is required (links below)
    • CHECK-IN: Onsite check-in will begin 20 minutes before the first tryout per age category.  Players should come dressed and ready to play.
    • BRING A BASKETBALL: Basketballs are asked to bring their own basketball (Girls size 6, Boys size 7)

    PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

    All eligible players must fit into one of the following age divisions and have been a resident of Manitoba on or before February 1, 2025.
    • 14U Female - born in 2011 or later
    • 14U Male - born in 2011 or later
    • 15U Female - born in 2010 or later
    • 15U Male - born in 2010 or later
    • 17U Female - born in 2008 or later
    • 17U Male - born in 2008 or later

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN: Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce the Manitoba Club Basketball Championships are coming back this spring.  The 2025 Manitoba Basketball Club Championships will run May 8-11 and May 29-June 1. Basketball Manitoba will offer basketball teams from around Manitoba and beyond the opportunity to participate in this spring basketball championship.  Registration will be open on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, at 12 noon.
