Nike Centre for Performance Teams Finalized

Basketball Manitoba has announced the members of the 2006-07 Manitoba Nike Centre for Performance program.  Congratulations and welcome to the following people!

The Centre for Performance program, developed by Canada Basketball is a regional training centre, intended to bring together male and female Canadian basketball athletes aged 12-17, who have the desired attributes and potential to develop into an elite level athlete. Fifteen boys and fifteen girls from both Manitoba and Saskatchewan have been identified to participate in the Prairie Region training programs.



Male coaches for Manitoba’s 2006/07 program are Kirby Schepp (Silver Heights Collegiate), Jeff Laping (St. Paul's High School), Dean Favoni (Dakota Collegiate) and Stephen Tackie (Silver Heights Collegiate).



Female coaches for the 2006/07 program are Jaime Hickson (Brandon University), Joanne Wells (Basketball Manitoba), Stacy Yuel (Vincent Massey Collegiate), Lee Wedlake (Basketball Manitoba) and Val Carson (Dakota Collegiate).
