Coach of the Month. Red is a community basketball coach that has developed athletes new to
the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association program. In doing so, his
team still competes at the highest level in their age group. He fair
plays all athletes, as his philosophy is “players need to touch the
ball to develop their skills”. Dribbling, passing, shooting, and
incorporating plays are all fundamental skills that his players have
learned and utilize effectively on the court.
As well, Red has mentored other coaches to successfully improve their teams, including instruction on running practices and developing skills.
His quick and easy smile, his genuine love for the game and the respect he shows his players makes him a great coach with his athletes and their parents.
