Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that the annual NBA 3 on 3 outdoor basketball tournament will be returning to Winnipeg on June 2-3, 2007.
Deadline to register a team in this weekend's tournament has now passed.
Registered teams are to send one representative to the ‘Team Check-in’ on Friday June 1 at Sport Manitoba, 200 Main Street (MAP) between 3:00 and 7:00 pm to receive their tournament schedules, team jerseys and other information. Team representatives are to bring in signed copies of the Tournament Waiver Form (PDF) for all team members to the team check in. Teams who miss the team check in are to report to the main score board at the Red River Ex Grounds on Saturday June 2 by 8:00 am. You will get your tournament schedule then along with other information.
Games will begin at 9:00 am each day. Teams are required to show up to their first game RAIN or SHINE. Winnipeg Area Weather
The event will once again be held at the Red River Exhibition Grounds in west Winnipeg (MAP).
This year, Canada Basketball will be adding to their CB Court,
featuring the Steve Nash Youth Basketball - Skillz Challenge and obstacle course. Participants
will try to complete three drill stations (dribbling, passing, and
lay-ups) in the quickest time possible. The final stage of the course
is a free-throw shot analysis. Participants will have the opportunity
to video tape their shot and then log on to www.cbgetschooled.com to compare their shot to professional players and others in the basketball community.
