The Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame Induction event will also feature a gourmet cocktail reception prepared by renowned executive chef, Rob Feenie. Host of Food Network’s “New Classics with Rob Feenie” Rob is amongst Vancouver’s culinary elite, and is the owner and acclaimed executive chef of the award-winning Lumiere restaurant.
Throughout the evening, guests will have an opportunity to view rare basketball artifacts and memorabilia while mingling with Canada basketball alumni and key contributors to the sport. The distinguished inductees being enshrined include Lars Hansen (player) and the 1929 UBC Women’s team from the class of 2006, and Bob Phibbs (veteran) and the1976 Senior Men’s team from the class of 2007.
Tickets are almost sold out for this prestigious event taking place on July 19 at the Marriott Pinnacle in downtown Vancouver. Festivities will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 9:30 pm.
