August 25 as part of the NBA Cares Tour. He will be appearing between

The NBA Cares Tour is traveling across the country to raise funds for Canadian children's hospitals! Last year the tour raised over $100,000 for Children’s Miracle Network which helps to support Canadian children’s hospitals such as Winnipeg’s Children’s Hospital. You can also help support Winnipeg’s Children’s Hospital by coming out to one of the NBA Cares Tour events.
Alex English was the NBA's most prolific scorer during the 1980s and retired as the seventh-leading scorer with 25, 613 points. After being underutilized by the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers during his first four years in the league, English became the most explosive member of a high-powered Denver Nuggets team that consistently ranked among the league's top-scoring clubs.
English dominated the NBA during the 1980s. During his 10 full seasons in Denver he played in eight straight All-Star Games, won a scoring title, averaged more than 23 points nine years in a row and led the Nuggets to nine consecutive postseason appearances (although never to the Finals). The sleek, 6-7 forward became the first player ever to string together eight straight 2,000-point seasons. And he led the Nuggets in scoring seven times en route to becoming the franchise's all-time top scorer.
He is currently the NBA Toronto Raptor’s Assistant Coach.
The NBA Cares Tour features basketball games and activities which are fun and interactive for the whole family. Local basketball personalities will be taking the plunge in the NBA Cares Tour dunk tank. Proceeds in Winnipeg will go towards the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital. Activities will take place from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
