Sport Manitoba celebrates youth and volunteer excellence and achievement in amateur sport with a number of special awards that are presented annually. These awards include the Male Youth Athlete of the Year, Female Youth Athlete of the Year, Calm Air Junior Team of the Year, Great-West Life Volunteer of the Year, Great-West Life Youth Volunteer of the Year, Official of the Year and Sport Administrator of the Year.

Submission deadline is January 23rd.
Award
nominations are submitted by Provincial Sport Organizations. Members of
the sports media select the winners. At the same time the Manitoba Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Council recognizes the province's Male and Female Aboriginal Athletes of the Year with presentation of the Tom Longboat Award.
All nominees are recognized at A Night of Champions annual awards ceremony and reception hosted by Sport Manitoba in mid-April.
