This camp will identify and select players for the 2009-2010 Junior
Wesmen season, which starts in September. Players born in 1996 or later
are invited to attend.
Each player should come equipped with:
- $10 to cover the expenses of the camp
- an indoor quality basketball
- appropriate, non-marking footwear
- water
This team will be playing in the WMBA Rising Stars league in the
Bantam Boys – Born in 1996 ( Age 13 as of December 31st, 2009 )
division and will participate in multiple tournaments, both local and
away ( traveling team ), throughout the year. The team will practice a
minimum of twice per week. As this is an elite team, players selected
for the team will not be able to play WMBA or Community Club
basketball.

COACHES WANTED!!
The University of Winnipeg's
Junior Wesmen boy's basketball program is seeking Coaches and Assistant
Coaches for the upcoming 2009-2010 season. Are you a seasoned veteran
coach or an up and coming coach and want to get paid for your time.
Coaches may make as much as $2000/season. The Jr.Wesmen program is
entering its sixth year and operates teams from ages 11-17. The teams
compete in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Albertaand in various northern
states.
Reporting to the Director, Athletics and Recreation, the Coaches are
responsible for all phases of the team operation such as player
selection at tryouts, player development, practices and game
management.
Previous coaching experience is required. ( Level
1 Coaching certificate is minimum. ) The Club will assist Coaches with
achieving Level 2. Coaches must also have Basketball Manitoba
“Respect in Sport” certificate.
