Coaching Manitoba's "Coach of the Month" program recognizes
outstanding Manitoba coaches in action. Nominations are accepted for
coaches at all levels of sport (grassroots through high performance)
who make extraordinary contributions to sport and athlete development.
Deadline for nominations is the 25th of each month.
Coach of the Month for May:
Mandy Johnson
Wheelchair Basketball
Mandy is an assistant coach with the Junior National
Wheelchair Team going to Paris in July for the World Championships. She
will also be serving as an assistant coach with Manitoba at the Senior
Men's National Championships in May.

Coach of the Month Guidelines
- The coach must be actively coaching in Manitoba and must
have completed at least one component of the National Coaching
Certification program (Theory/Multi-sport module, Technical or
Practical). - Family members are not eligible to nominate coaches.
- The
coach who is selected Coach of the Month must approve and consent to
disclose the information provided on the nomination form to Global
Sports and make themselves available for production of an on air video
segment and to Robin's and Coaching Manitoba for promotional purposes.
Coaches who are selected as the "Coach of the Month" will be
featured on Global Sports the last Monday of the month on the
11:00 p.m. News.
Each "Coach of the Month" recipient will receive a Coaching Manitoba
clipboard and t-shirt, Global Sports merchandise and a Robins prize
package.
