The NBA 3on3 presented by Rogers will be in Winnipeg this weekend, July 18-19, at the Red River Exhibition Park. Spectators will have the opportunity to participate in games, contests and giveaways, as well as interact with NBA and TV personalities. The NBA 3on3 is the single biggest summer basketball event in Manitoba, said Adam Wedlake, executive director of Basketball Manitoba. It brings together people from all walks of life who love the game of basketball and immerses them in an NBA-hyped event. It has become a regular part of the Manitoba summer sports scene. MC A-Weezy is back again to host the NBA 3on3 Half Time Show presented by Rogers on both Saturday and Sunday. Former Toronto Raptors point guard and newly appointed assistant coach Alvin Boogie Williams will be joining him, along with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Cheerleaders. Local DJ Fin-S will be spinning live on location, along with much more live entertainment.
Admission is free for spectators who will have access to the Rogers Slam Dunk Contest, Speed Stick 24/7 Challenge, Juicy Fruit King of the Court II, Speed Stick Shoot for $1,000 Contest, Steve Nash Youth Basketball Skillz Challenge, and the Rogers My5 Court. Games and on-site activities start at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and continue until 5 p.m.
