The Winnipeg Wolverines is proud to announce the details
of their ID camps for the 2009 - 2010 basketball season. The two day camp will
be held at the new Valour Community Centre (formally the Isaac Brock Community
Ctre) on Wednesday, August 26th & Thursday, August 27th from 6:00 pm to 8:00
pm. The details are as follows:
Age: 13 and under (born 1996 or
earlier)
Place: Valour Community Centre (formerly Isaac
Brock Community Ctre) 715 Telfer Street N (behind Isaac
Brock School)
Dates & Times:
1st Session: Wednesday, August 26th -
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
2nd Session: Thursday, August 27th -
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
** Please bring your own basketball
(if possible).**
Cost: $ 15.00 per player (payable at the first
practice)
During the ID camps we will be making our selections of
players for our new elite Grade 8 basketball team for the 2009 -2010
season. This team along with our other teams will be competing in various
tournaments in Winnipeg, Calgary, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minnesota, as well as
in elite level leagues in the city.
Going into their 5th season, the Winnipeg Wolverines
Basketball Club, as an elite level club continues their focus on the skills and
knowledge of the game of competitive basketball with the emphasis on
sportsmanship and team building. They hope to continue their success through
the conception of this new team and in turn the success and enjoyment of each
selected player.
