“The sport community has been very patient and supportive. They recognize that a short-term interim move will lead to a new home which will have a tremendous impact on sport for generations to come”, said Jeff Hnatiuk, President and CEO Sport Manitoba. “We expect Phase One of the Sport for Life Centre will be ready for occupancy at the end of January.”
“The amateur sport calendar is active year-round, so there isn’t really a good time to move,” said Hnatiuk. “Our winter sports are very busy and we want to ensure the amateur sport community are aware of the transition and know how to reach their sport organization.”
The majority of provincial sport organizations will maintain their current contact information (phone, email, mail). In the interim, all mail should be sent to 200 Main Street. Phone calls and emails will be forwarded to sport organizations at their interim locations.
