Coaching Manitoba invites all coaches to attend one or more of the upcoming Sport Excellence Series session on February 3 and 4, 2010 with our new guest speaker Dr. Jean Cote. For full details...
Dr. Côté completed his doctorate in 1993 at the University of Ottawa. His
research interests focus on the developmental and psychosocial factors that
affect sport and physical activity, performance and participation. He takes
special interest in the complex interaction of children, parents and coaches in
the development of talent and in the achievement of personal excellence. Jean
is currently the Director and a Professor in the School of Kinesiology and
Health Studies at Queen’s University.

psychosocial factors that affect sport performance and participation. I get
really excited about a research project when I can see that it can be translated
to actual policies for children’s sport.”
