“Christie Anne has been
an amazing player and ambassador for CMU during her time here as an
athlete and as a student,” explained CMU Director of Athletics, Russell
Willms. “When you watch her play, she is almost like a coach already.
Christie Anne is a natural leader and she is a great fit for our
program. I think she has a very bright future in coaching.”

McCullough spent her first three years of university athletic
eligibility with CMU, before leaving for Brandon University and a year
in the CIS in 2008, playing for former CMU head coach Jaime Hickson.
McCullough returned to CMU in 2009 and will be graduating this spring
with a degree in History. She played an instrumental role in the success
of the women’s basketball team this year, scoring better than 12 points
per game and showing her court vision by leading the conference in
assists. McCullough has been volunteering at the Spence Neighbourhood
Association coaching 14 and under girls this season while completing her
CMU degree.
