Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that Mark Neves and Michael Tan will assume the positions of 15U Girls and 14U Girls head coaches of the Manitoba Provincial Team program effective immediately. The change comes on the heels of the news of existing 15U Girls coach, Cheryl Jean-Paul's being appointed the new head women's basketball coach at Trinity Western University in British Columbia (
full story...). Basketball Manitoba would like to welcome Michael to the Provincial Team system and congratulate Mark for being advanced to the 15U level from 14U. Michael Tan is an active Winnipeg coach who is currently the Varsity Girls Head Coach at Sisler High School and an active club coach. Remaining in the program as assistant coaches will be Tai Puhawan and Cassie Reimer at the 15U and 14U levels respectively. Basketball Manitoba would also like to wish Cheryl the best with her new opportunities on the west coast! These two provincial teams will be finalized in the coming week and those players still with the program will be notified in the coming days with more details.
