
The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association and its 45+ community centres will be accepting registration for the 2010-11 basketball season beginning in late August and running through to the end of September. The WMBA is a not-for-profit community club based basketball league located in Winnipeg. The Fall/Winter League is open to boys & girls ages 5-18 and runs from mid-October through to mid-March. GAME DAYS & AGE DIVISIONS
The Fall/Winter League Community Club teams will be separated into the following age divisions...
Saturday Games * (games can range from 9 am - 6 pm)
5-7 Coed, 8-9 Girls, 8 Boys, 9 Boys, 10 Girls, 10 Boys, 11 Girls, 11 Boys
(note: age divisions subject to change)
Sunday Games * (games can range from 9 am to 6 pm)
12 Girls, 12 Boys, 13 Boys, 14 Boys, 13-14 Girls, 15-18 Girls, 15 Boys, 16-18 Boys
(note: age divisions subject to change)
* all teams will also practice one during the weeknights over the course of the program

- Born in 2005-2003 (age 5-7)
- Born in 2002 (age 8)
- Born in 2001 (age 9)

PROGRAM TIME LINES
- The fall/winter league will run mid-October through until mid-March.
- Club teams will participate in 16 regular season games plus a
minimum of a 2-game playoff. - Teams will also be practicing once per week during the weeknights
at an area school (exact day and time of the practice is set by the club). Practice times range Monday to Friday, 6-10 pm. - Games run one hour in length.

REGISTRATION
- You are to register at the NEAREST participating
club in your area and is based on the primary residence of the player. - Registration fees range between $175.00 -$200.00 per person and are
set by the community centre. Fees go towards the costs of gym rental, referees, insurance, awards and administration. - Note: The listed
‘Registration Fee’ is set by the home community centre and is based on the WMBA fee to the club for entering a team. In the 2010-2011 Fall/Winter League season, the WMBA will charge $1450.00 per team.
