All players who make the final training squads will be asked to make a
full commitment to the team right through to August 2011. The program
will quiet down from January to March but will run with 2-5 sessions per
week in the September through July range. The new approach to
developing the team will be piloted for 2010-11 at the 17U level with a
potential to expand this to younger ages in the future. Regular tryouts
for the 17U Male and 15U Male and Female Provincial Teams will run in
April 2011 as they have in the past. The Centre for Performance Program
will hold its tryouts for girls ages 16 and under and boys ages 17 and
under on September 10-12 and will run through the fall / winter months
as they have in the past.
Important Note: The 17U Girls Provincial Team Tryouts will occur at the same time as the Centre for Performance tryouts on September 10-12 at Red River College. Those interested in trying out for both programs, are asked to attend the first 17U Provincial Team tryouts on the Friday evening. Those not chosen for the 17U team will be asked to return to the regular CP tryouts over the next few days of the tryouts. Players can only participate on one program at a time.
