The University of Winnipeg Wesmen are sad to announce that former student athletic therapist Andrew Budge passed away suddenly on
Saturday, December 11th. Budge spent several seasons as the Student Athletic Therapist for
the Wesmen Men’s Basketball team and was in the final stages of
completing his degree in Kinesiology.
“It is always difficult when someone so young and talented passes,
in this case Andrew had touched so many in our program and the Wesmen
family as a whole, we were blessed for the time that we had with him and
we will always miss him" said former Wesmen men's basketball coach
Dave Crook.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at
11:00 a.m., at the Masonic Temple, 420 Corydon Ave. Winnipeg. An Andrew
Budge Memorial Scholarship to be administered in co-operation with
Manitoba Baseball has been established. Donations may be made through
any TD Canada Trust location.
