The 'Call A Foul On Cancer’ Pink Whistle Campaign strives
to raise funds for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. Participating MABO
Officials will be wearing ‘Pink Whistles’ from February 14 – 28 to show
their support during all levels of basketball in the province.
With
your help and generosity, our donations through this campaign help fund
cancer research, patient care, and treatments in Manitoba. Each year,
more and more Manitoba men, women, and children are winning their
battles against the disease with the aid of CancerCare Manitoba
oncologists, nurses, radiation therapists, and allied health care
workers. Knowing that 1 in 3 Manitobans will be diagnosed with cancer
in their lifetime, it’s distressing to think that the disease will most
likely affect a loved one or close friend. Together we can help
Manitobans living with cancer and relieve the effects on those
individuals and their families!
For
those interested MABO officials, we are asking for a minimum donation
of a full game fee (or more!), which includes your very own Fox40 Pink
Whistle. Please contact your local assignor to donate and order your pink whistle before January 28th. MABO has approved the use of the Pink Whistle during ALL games from February 14-28, 2011.
