Junior Bison Boys Basketball Tournament Set for April 15-17

The Junior Bison Boys Basketball Club have announced that they will host their annual tournament on April 15-17, 2011 at the University of Manitoba Investors Group Athletic Centre and other surrounding schools.  The tournament is open to male club teams in the grade 5-12 range or athletes born 1994 to 2000.  Last year's event featured 62 teams in 7 different age brackets with more than 100 games played over the weekend.  Registration fee is $275 a team.  For details...

The University of Manitoba and the Junior Bison program are committed to supporting basketball in our community and will be hosting our annual tournament in the spring of 2011. We are welcoming teams from within and out of province to come participate in an action packed weekend of competitive basketball. Only teams with completed registration form and fees paid will be considered entered. We filled fast last year, so get your entry in today.....

 

• Cost: $275 Gym Entry fee $5 weekend pass, or $3 per day.


• Where:    The University of Manitoba, Investors Group Athletic Center, Winnipeg, Manitoba


• Level: (age as of Dec. 31st).  The tournament will feature 8 team brackets for the following age groups:

• •    Grade 5 -   2000 birthdate


• •    Grade 6 -   99 birthdate


• •    Grade 7 -   98 birthdate


• •    Grade 8 -   97 birthdate


• •    Grade 9 -   96 birthdate


• •    Grade 10 - 95 birthdate


• •    High School - 93/94 birthdate

(Each player will be only allowed to participate on one team)

Teams will be guaranteed 3 games.

Thanks for making the Jr.Bison Tournament of 2010 A HUGE SUCCESS!  2010 was our biggest year for entries. We had 62 teams in 7 different age brackets with more than 100 games played over the weekend. We welcomed over 16 out of town teams during to the event, with entries from as far east as Dryden and Thunder Bay, and as far west as Saskatoon, and Regina.  Thanks to all who attended, your team made our 2010 tournament a huge success.

The Jr. Bison’s will also be hosting their annual coach’s night out on Saturday the 16th. Details to follow…
