“We are very pleased that Brittany has chosen to come to the University of Winnipeg. She is a physical player who can post up and score and has added the three point shot to her game, she has tons of potential”, said Wesmen head coach Tanya McKay.
The 6’0 forward averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks per game in her final season at Oak Park. She was named an all star at the Provincial Championships and most recently named a member of the All-Manitoba team. The number three ranked player in the Winnipeg Sun Coaches Poll was named MVP at the Winnipeg Tier One Championships and picked up all star honours at the Ranger Insurance, Piper Classic, Campbell Invitational (Regina) and Raiders Classics this past season.
“I am thrilled to see Brittany get a chance to play basketball at the University of Winnipeg. Her success this year at Oak Park was inspirational. Playing with a torn ACL, Brittany was one of the premier players in the province and led the Raiders to the Provincial 4A title game. Brittany is an exceptional defensive player and a very strong rebounder as well as an accomplished scorer. Her work ethic will allow her to recover from her surgery and I expect her to have a long and successful career for Coach McKay”, added Oak Park Raiders Varsity Girl’s Basketball head coach Murray Brown.
Rosenfelt recently had surgery to repair a torn ACL and will begin a 6-8 month rehab program shortly.
