Former NCAA Division I basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian is presenting at a free coaches clinic this coming Sunday, April 10 in Red Lake, Minnesota. Red Lake is approximately 3 hours south of Winnipeg, east of Thief River Falls off of Highway 59. The coaching clinic is free and open to all coaches at all

The National Champion Basketball Academy Tour begins April 10 at Red Lake High School.
- Tarkanian has 990 all-time career wins at the collegiate
level and a career winning percentage at the Division 1 level of .796
percent. - He has coached 44 players that were drafted into the NBA, including a record six in one season.
- His
1975-76 UNLV team held the highest scoring average ever, 110.6 points a
game and the feat was done before the 3-point shot or the shot clock
was introduced. - He took four UNLV teams to the Final Four and won the national championship in 1990.
- Tarkanian coached six consecutive 20-win seasons and had 29 career 20-win seasons as a head coach
- The National Champion Basketball Academy was initiated by former Cass Lake-Bena head boys basketball coach Dan Ninham.

Tour includes 19 events in six states featuring player development
sessions and coaching clinics directed by national champion college and
high school coaches.
