Basketball Manitoba will be hosting two NCCP coaches clinics later this month in Winnipeg including the NCCP 'Introduction to Competition' and NCCP 'Introduction to Competition Advanced' courses. Both of these new offerings replaces the old NCCP Level 1 and 2 Technical and Theory. The 'Intro to Comp' course is targetted to coaches working with athletes ages 9-12 and the 'Intro to Comp Advanced' course is for coaches of athletes 12-16 years of age and is for individuals interested in coaching within the Competition stream of the new NCCP. The courses will comprise both classroom and on court sessions and will focus on; LTAD review, mental training, practice planning, competition planning, fundamental movement skills, technical movement skills, offensive and defensive concepts, a practical application, and a debrief evaluation.
