Wesmen Host 2011 Walk For Kids Help Phone

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen would like to announce that they are now a sponsor and the host of the upcoming 2011 Walk for Kids Help Phone. This year’s walk will take place on Sunday May 1st at the University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre 400 Spence Street. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. with the official walk starting at 10:00 a.m.

Walkers will arrive at the Duckworth Centre where they will be able to register, collect incentives and enjoy the festivities in the gym. The walk will start/finish in the Wesmen main gym and will wind its way through the University campus both indoors and out.

Wesmen athletes will be on hand to interact with walkers and kids in attendance. There will also be a kids section designated for our young participants featuring arts and crafts and a coloring station. The day will also feature plenty of musical performances.

Please mark your calendars and help break the silence on mental health, walk so kids can talk.
