The University of Winnipeg Wesmen and Men’s Basketball head coach Mike Raimbault are pleased to announce the commitments of Mark McNee and Dominique Brown (shown left to right) to the Men’s Basketball program for the upcoming 2011-2012 Canada West season. Last season McNee and Brown played vital roles in leading the Lakeland College Rustlers to a 17-3 regular season record in the Alberta College Athletic Association.
Mark McNee a 6’6 forward, averaged 16 points and seven rebounds per game last season. His consistent and steady play led to his selection to the ACAC North Division Second All-Star Team. A multi sport talent at Bayview Secondary School (Toronto, ON), McNee was named MVP in both basketball and volleyball.
Dominique Brown a 6’4 guard, averaged nine points and three assists per game last year. He appeared in only 16 games due to an injury at the beginning of the season. A graduate from Father Henry Carr High School (Toronto, ON), Brown won many awards in various sports including basketball and volleyball.
“Mark and Dominique will add a great level of athleticism and versatility to our team. We are very excited to welcome both players to our program” added Wesmen head coach Mike Raimbault
