The University of Manitoba offers a competitive basketball at the Frank Kennedy Centre. You do not need to be a University of Manitoba student to play. The league is open to all players 18 years and older. Younger players/teams may be accommodated upon request. The season runs Sundays, from September to April, with approximately 24 games in the New Gym at the Frank Kennedy Centre, with Basketball Manitoba certified officials. There is FREE parking evenings and weekends. League fees for the 2011-2012 season are $2100/team. All teams are required to pay a $200 team default deposit at the time of registration. The team default deposit is fully refundable, at the end of the season, and is dependent on the completion all team requirements. League Registration Fees

No individual players registration will be accepted this year.
Registration Procedures for the 2011-2012 UMBL Season
Early Team Registration Teams who played in the 2010-2011 inaugural season will qualify for early team registration. Team captains will be contacted regarding their registration procedure. Team Captain contact information from the previous year will used and if this information has changed, please contact the league coordinator to update contact information.
Open Registration will occur on Thursday August 18, 2011 starting at 10:00am. All new teams will be allowed to register at this time. During the open registration, teams will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, until league capacity has been reached.
UMBL Captains Meeting
All registered teams will be required to send a team captain or team representative to the Captain’s Meeting . The Team Captain’s Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 starting at 7pm in room 136 of the Frank Kennedy Centre.
