The Winnipeg Swoosh is a senior women’s club team now in its ninth year of operation. The Swoosh will be hosting tryouts in early October and will continue to participate in the Winnipeg Senior Women’s Basketball League. The Swoosh play regular home and away games with several US college teams in northern Minnesota and North Dakota. This year, we will play a 25-30 game schedule.
The Swoosh play an up-tempo game mixing man to man and zone defenses. We will practice once a week. The Swoosh is volunteer run and the players do pay fees (approx $300) to cover league fees, referees and travel costs.
