The Linden Christian School Varsity Girls Tournament showcased some of the top AAA girls basketball in it's 3rd Annual Hoops for Hope Charity Tournament. Teams from as far north as Thompson MB (R.D. Parker), and south as Steinbach (SRHS), as well local teams from Nelson Mac, St. John's Ravenscourt, U of W Collegiate, and Elmwood all contributed to a very entertaining weekend of basketball culminating in a well played final between host team LCS and cross town rival, the U of W Collegiate. Thanks to Arden Boville and his group of officials for generously donating their time, as well as all our volunteer scorekeepers and timekeepers. This years tournament was able to raise $3092 in support of Kick Balls for Kids (K4K). Since the tournaments inception, the LCS Hoops for Hope tournament has raised nearly $10,000 for charities. Next year's tournament dates are Feb 14 - Feb 16, 2013.
