Basketball Manitoba is pleased to announce that Jason Poponne and Karl Schroeder have been hired to coach the male and female 16U Manitoba Provincial Teams respectively for 2012. Joining Jason in the assistant coach position is Jim Anastasiadis and joining Karl is Leanne Napier. The 16U Provincial Teams will be formed in mid-July in conjunction with the Manitoba Games program. Only athletes competing on a Manitoba Games team will be eligible to play on the 16U Provincial Team which will train for 10 days following the Games in Swan River, MB then travel to Edmonton, AB in early August for the first Western Canadian Cadet Championships.
