In 2011 in front of over 500 people in attendance, the teams put on some incredible endings to wrap the league's 13th season. The closing ceremonies and finals were the biggest and best ever in the league's history and the crowds were loud and full of energy as the kids took to the floor to battle for Championship glory. Those that were in attendance packed the entire gym and by the time the Jr Tykes and Tykes finals games took place, the Tec Voc gymnasium became standing room only as the gym was filled with spectators from floor to the top of the bleachers. The roar of the crowd was unlike anything WAAY has ever witnessed as games came down to the wire and Championships were decided over mere baskets and overtime heartbreak. WAAY would like to thank the entire Volunteer Committee and their families for all their time, hard work and dedication to this non-profit organization for a wonderful and successful season! Without our volunteers, this league would not be possible.
