What was once known as the Winnipeg Senior Women's Basketball League has dropped the word 'senior' from its name effective for the 2012-12 season. The newly named 'Winnipeg Women's Basketball League' is a Winnipeg based league open to women ages 18 and up and operates annually from September through March.
