The Sher-e-Punjab Sport Club EK Winnipeg has announced it will be hosting a basketball camp to children of Punjab heritage to expose them more on the sport. The Punjab basketball camp will run July 23-27, 2012 at the Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute (MBCI), 180 Riverton Avenue (Blue Gym). The camp is targeting boys and girls ages 9-16 at a fee of $50 for the week. The camp coaches will provide significant one to one coaching and will have a ratio of less than 5 to 1 in coaching. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Each day players are encouraged to bring their own ball, wear clothing appropriate for basketball, a dark & light coloured t-shirt and their lunch and water bottle. Our coaches have come to Winnipeg from Atlanta, Georgia and are interested in a cross cultural experience as well as basketball. Parents please introduce yourself to the coaches as they desire to learn about the Punjab culture while in Winnipeg.
