The WMBA Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the WMBA Foundation Scholarships for 2012. The recipients that were selected each receive a scholarship award of $500 to assist them in their post secondary studies. The two recipients are...Kerri Kuzbyt will be attending the University of Winnipeg of Winnipeg this coming fall to study and participating as a member of the Wesmen women's basketball team. Kerri has been activate in the WMBA as a player and referee for 13 as she started playing in the WMBA small ball program at the age of 5. Kerri will be entering the faculty of education and plans to become a physical education teacher.
Taylor Brown has been involved with the WMBA for 13 years starting with small ball and continuing on to this seasons Sr Men's league. He has been active volunteering at basketball tournaments as a referee and organizer. Taylor plans to attend Canadian Mennonite University in the fall and take general studies while participating as a member of the Blazers Men's basketball team.
Both Kerri and Taylor continue to be outstanding ambassadors for the WMBA and basketball in general. Congratulations on your accomplishments and continued success both on and off the court!
