The female component of the Manitoba Games finished on Wednesday morning with the Winnipeg Blue Team winning the gold medal over the Winnipeg Gold team 46-37. The Games will feature basketball teams at the 16U age level from all 7 regions of Manitoba with 2 teams coming out of Winnipeg. Following the Manitoba Games, the 16U Manitoba Provincial Team Program will be formed from identified Manitoba Games participants to represent Manitoba at the first ever Western Canada Cadet Championships in Edmonton, Alberta on August 2-5.
