Basketball Manitoba today announced the rosters of the male and female 16U age teams which will be representing the province at the first ever Western Canadian Cadet Championships in Edmonton, Alberta, August 2-5. The teams were formed from the Manitoba Games teams who competed in Swan River July 16-21 with the provincial team coaches present and evaluating the talent. With the male team, 16 athletes were identified from the Games and 15 females. From there, a travelling base of 12 athletes plus coaches will be making the trip out west.
