It is with great sadness that Basketball Manitoba shares the news of the passing of local basketball and sport supporter Bob Gingras. Bob was a long-time supporter of Winnipeg amateur sports in the Valour, Isaac Brock and Orioles Community Center areas. One of Bob's many crowning achievements was the building of the Valour CC gymnasium opened in 2009 and regularly used by basketball teams including the WMBA. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gingras family. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 1-4pm at Valour Community Center Isaac Brock site located at 715 Telfer Street N.
