CMU Athletics invites applications for the position of Head Coach of the Blazers Women’s Basketball team. CMU is a Christian University and a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada that awards 3 and 4-year degrees in a variety of academic programs.
This term/contract position reports to the CMU Director of Athletics. The successful candidate for this position must be a mature, creative, highly-motivated, team-oriented individual, who is able to lead a group of student-athletes effectively and must be able to support the CMU Mission Statement.

This term/contract position reports to the CMU Director of Athletics. The successful candidate for this position must be a mature, creative, highly-motivated, team-oriented individual, who is able to lead a group of student-athletes effectively and must be able to support the CMU Mission Statement.
Responsibilities:
- The Head Coach is responsible for many aspects of the program, both on and off the court. Major responsibilities include team selection, executing team practices, directing the team during game situations and working with CMU Athletics, ensuring compliance with sport-governing organizations.
- The Head Coach also assists the Athletics Department, helping to identify and recruit student-athletes, schedule non-league competition, confirming team travel arrangements, monitoring student-athlete academic success, and student-athlete eligibility.
- The ideal candidate to provide these services will have a university undergraduate degree and credentials appropriate to college-level coaching with a minimum Level 2 NCCP coaching certification preferred; a minimum of 2 years coaching experience preferably at the high school or club coaching level; demonstrates high levels of leadership, communication and organizational skills, sportsmanship and integrity.
