Murdoch MacKay Collegiate has announced it will be hosting a special fundraiser event in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The 'Hoop and the Harm' Alumni Basketball Game will occur Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Murdoch MacKay Collegiate and feature this year's Varsity Boys Basketball team taking on Murdoch Alumni. A minimum donation of $5 admission is required with 100% of it going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. For more info...
- Halftime will feature a three point competition where two players from the alumni team, two players from the varsity team, and four lucky fans will compete for a chance to win an authentic Kevin Durant NBA Jersey. Participants will shoot for 45 seconds trying to make as many three’s as possible, with the two highest scores competing head to head for the crown of Hoop & The Harm 3-Point Champion.
- We will also be raffling off a prize package featuring generous donations from three locally and nationally recognized restaurants in Deer + Almond, The Grove Pub and Restaurant, and Deseo Bistro. The total of the package is $180 between the three restaurants. All raffle proceeds will go towards the Heart & Stroke Foundation as well.
