The University of Manitoba Bisons have announced its new High Performance Summer Camps which will feature a girls basketball offering this August. These camps are geared towards athletes looking to further their athletic skill development in an intense and challenging environment. All camps will be led by University of Manitoba Head Coaches, assistant coaches, current and former Bison athletes. Each camp is comprised of on court instruction, skills, drills and scrimmages and sport science sessions. Sport science sessions will include strength and conditioning, nutrition and mental preparation modules. The athletes will be grouped according to age and skill level. Previous sport specific experience at the school, community or youth organization level is required. The female basketball camps will be targeted to ages 12-17 and will occur at the U of M Frank Kennedy Centre from August 19-23 at a cost of $225 a player.
