The Athletes in Action Summer Basketball Camps have announced that they have added local coaches Stephen Tackie, Matt Opalko and Debbie Yeboah to the collection of coaches who will lead many of the camps, which are back for another summer with locations throughout Manitoba. Camps for children in the 5-17 year old age range are planned for Winnipeg, Elm Creek, St. Norbert, Steinbach and Winkler in July and August. For full details...
Here at Athletes in Action Basketball we love the game of basketball, and one of the things that gets us most excited is the chance to pass on that love to young athletes. We have coaches, and players who are committed to teaching fundamental, advanced, and elite level skills to players without it taking away the true privilege and joy that it is to play the game. We are also committed to loving your children as people, not just players because that’s what we believe God wants us to do.
For some, summer basketball means playground moves, breakin’ ankles, circus shots, and making defenders look silly. For others, it’s a chance to bring a whole new meaning to working hard. If you are one of those players with images of the big dance dancing in your head, and you are willing to work to get there, our coaches can help you. Even if you are 5 years old, and just want to have fun playing a game, we are more than happy to help you with that too. Here at Athletes in Action the game is always fun, and there is always another challenge to step up to. So whether you are just getting started, or working to get to “the next level”, there is guaranteed to be something for you.
