The Manitoba Spartans Basketball Club has announced their tryouts for the 16U girls inaugural 2013-2014 season on August 10-11 at Valour Community Centre. For details...Tryout Dates & Times:
- Saturday August 10th 2013: 8-10 pm
- Sunday August 11th 2013: 10 am-1pm
Tryout Notes:
- All three tryouts will take place at Valour Community Centre - Isaac Brock Site located at 715 Telfer Street North.
- The cost of the tryout is $28 dollars.
- The Spartans Basketball Club’s mission is to foster athletic development through focusing on the fundamentals of basketball, while playing at a competitive level.
With the Spartans, athletes will:
- 1. Practice three times a week from September 2013 – June 2014
- 2. Build on the fundamental skills of basketball that are crucial to a well around game
- 3. Take part in exhibition games
- 4. Take part in 3-4 tournaments (not conflicting with the MHSAA basketball season)
- 5. Host a home tournament
- 6. Gain knowledge from guest coaches
- 7. Learn how to break down shot and game film
