Chad Posthumus Named NCAA All-Ohio Valley Conference All-Star

Morehead State senior and Winnipeg native Chad Posthumus has been named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference All-Star 3rd team for the 2013-14 men's basketball campaign.  Chad has recorded 558 points and 575 rebounds in 64 Division I tilts.  He is averaging 4.5 offensive rebounds and 11.3 total boards heading into the OVC Tournament.  His offensive rebounds rank second nationally, while his total boards place third.

A 6-foot-11 center, Posthumus has helped Morehead State lead the conference in total rebounds, offensive boards and rebounding margin.  The Eagles have only been outrebounded once in 31 contests this year.  He is also averaging 10.0 points and 0.8 blocks.

Posthumus  leads the country with 17.3 rebounds per 40 minutes.  The Canadian has registered 26 double-figure rebounding performances as an Eagle, including 20 this season, and 28 efforts of 10+ points, including 17 this campaign.

Fourth-seeded Morehead State opens league tournament action in the second round on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT).  The Eagles will face the winner of No. 5 Tennessee Tech and No. 8 SIU Edwardsville.  All contests will be played at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville.
