ROSTERS ANNOUNCED:  The 6th Annual Hoops From The Heart Basketball games at the University of Winnipeg's Duckworth Centre come again this year on Monday evening May 12th. This year a combined University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg men’s team take on an All Star team of the best players we can find in Manitoba! This exciting game is followed by a traditional University of Manitoba women’s team facing off against the University of Winnipeg women’s team. Both teams will have their latest recruits together with their star veterans for the first time in a preview of 2014/15 basketball season!


In the process, over 150 inner city kids will be there to watch the games, receive a free meal, get their own 2014 Hoops From The Heart T shirt and take a basketball home signed by one of the players! The University coaches are confirmed, the volunteers are excited and all we need is YOU! This year we have managed to snag an autographed official DeMar DeRozan Toronto Raptors jersey that will be given to one lucky fan at the game in support of our event. We’ll also have a basketball autographed by Los Angeles Lakers guard and future Hall of Famer Steve Nash.

6:15 pm: Men’s game - Universities of Manitoba/Winnipeg versus Manitoban All Stars
7:30 pm: Women’s game - University of Manitoba vs University of Winnipeg

Have the NBA playoffs got you excited again to watch basketball?? Well watching it live is so much better! Come on down to the Duckworth Centre at the University of Winnipeg and watch Manitoba’s best basketball players (past, present and future stars!) play at the 6th annual Hoops From The Heart games this coming Monday May 12th starting at 6:15 pm.  And get your Raptor fix satisfied with an official DeMar DeRozen autographed Toronto Raptors jersey up for grabs at the game! Help support inner city kids and heart research at St Boniface Hospital! Thanks to our sponsors and your support through attending the game, 150 inner city kids at the game will receive a free meal, a free Hoops T shirt at the game, and take home a free basketball autographed by one of the players - all while enjoying watching the exciting men’s and women’s games.
