The CMU Women’s Basketball Team has announced the commitment of Sisler High School’s Tiara Licsi for the 2014-15 season. The 5’6 guard is coming off an exceptional grade 12 season that saw the Spartan lead her team to the the MHSAA ‘AAAA’ Girls Provincial Final last month and to receive Honourable Mention in the Winnipeg Sun’s annual Top-Ten High School Basketball Player Rankings.
Licsi was a member of Team Manitoba at last summer’s Canada Games in Sherbrooke, Quebec and in 2012 represented Winnipeg at the Manitoba Games in Swan River. She was also named a 2014 ‘AAAA’ Provincial Tournament All-Star and will be playing in the 2014 Graduating All-Star Game later this month along with many of the new CMU recruits who will be completing their high school basketball careers.

“Tiara is an outstanding scorer,” says CMU Head Coach Joe Di Curzio, “She is a great finisher on the break and a terrific outside shooter.Tiara is a superb student and a terrific leader. We are looking forward to working with her.”
