Next Level Hoops (in partnership with the Winnipeg Wolves) has announced a two week spring training opportunity for girls entering Grades 7/8 and 10/11/12 high school.  The training academy will run the last two weeks of June of this year (weekday nights from June 22nd to July 4th). The training academy will be dedicated to skill development and improving basic one, two and three man concepts as they relate to a team. This initiative will be run by experienced coaches who have had success at all levels of the game.

Next Level Hoops will offer girls an opportunity to develop fundamental skills that will easily adapt to any team style of play. The coaching staff will focus on individual skill development both offensively and defensively. Movement with and without the ball, passing, screening on and away from the ball, reading the defence, and penetration and kick will be stressed. Defensively players will learn one on one defence as well as team defensive concepts with an emphasis on rotation and help. The first hour and fifteen minutes of each session will be dedicated to skill development with the remaining forty-five minutes for full court game play.

Additional emphasis will also be placed on game strategy, understanding individual and game weaknesses and strengths of themselves and their opponents.

For a total basketball experience register early as only twenty girls will be registered for each session. All players should have a high level of skill level, commitment, experience and expect to work hard.
