Stonewall Collegiate held their third Hoops for Hope, twenty four hour basketball tournament on May 2-3, 2014. The event was first started in 2011 with the purpose to raise money for Cancer Care Manitoba. After taking a year off, the school ran the event in 2013 and followed it up with the biggest Hoops for Hope for Cancer Care Manitoba in the three years the event has been run. To date, the event has raised over $40,000 for the cause!
This year was the most successful so far, with a total of $16,196.67 raised and included 53 teams ranging from age 7 to 41 years of age. Stonewall Collegiate would like to thank everyone who participated and a special thank you to the many sponsors who made the event possible.
