Oxford Heights Community Centre in east Winnipeg will be officially opening its new outdoor basketball court on Monday June 23 at 6:15 pm The project has come to reality through the support of all three levels of government, the Transcona Playground Renewal Association, members of the community and the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association Foundation.
The new court features an outdoor rubber surface, square glass backboards, collapsible rims, 10 foot fencing and lighting. It will now bring the count to five completed outdoor projects completed by the WMBA Foundation including builds at Garden City, Dakota, Whyte Ridge and Kirkfield Westwood Community Centres.
