A panel discussion will follow with Alex Gardiner, head coach of the Canadian track and field team at the 2012 Olympics, Sandra Kirby, UWinnipeg professor and former Olympian, lawyer Jeff Palamar, and Jeff Powell, GM of the Canadian Sports Centre.

Attack on Sports is Thursday, February 5 in Riddell Hall, 385 Spence Street. A light dinner will be served and the event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

- A dynamic, interactive 3 hour program will review the societal impact of sport, and the current challenges facing the sport community.
- Paul Melia, Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, will outline the role of sport today, followed by journalist, Dan Lett, on how sport is portrayed in the media.
- A panel discussion will follow, lead by Dr. Glen Bergeron, Associate Dean of the Gupta Faculty of Kinesiology & Applied Health, University of Winnipeg, with:
